Corona, CA – Corona Mayor Karen Spiegel has earned another major endorsement in her campaign to succeed John Tavaglione on the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. Riverside Mayor Rusty Bailey joins a growing list of elected officials in the City of Riverside to endorse Karen Spiegel, including Councilman Mike Gardner and five of the six remaining Riverside Council members. Rusty Bailey was first elected to serve as the Riverside City Council representative for Ward 3 in 2007, was elected as Riverside’s mayor in 2012, and won re-election in 2016.

“I am pleased to announce my endorsement of Mayor Karen Spiegel for Second District, Riverside County Supervisor,” said Mayor Bailey. “I have worked with Karen over the years, and believe that her strong work ethic, community advocacy, and track-record of fiscal management makes her the right choice for voters in the Second District.”

“I am truly honored and humbled to earn the support and endorsement of Mayor Rusty Bailey,” said Spiegel. “From serving as an officer in the United States Army to representing the city of Riverside as mayor, Rusty has continued to show his dedication to public service, and love for his country and community.  I look forward to working with Mayor Bailey as we continue to make Riverside County a great place to live, work, and visit.”

In addition to Supervisor Tavaglione and Mayor Bailey, Spiegel has earned endorsements from Supervisor Marion Ashley, Supervisor Chuck Washington, the entire Jurupa Valley and Norco City Councils, and a majority of the Corona, Eastvale, and Riverside City Councils.

The second district encompasses the cities of Corona, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Norco, a portion of Riverside, and several unincorporated areas. The general election will take place on Tuesday, November 6th.
