Corona, CA – Corona Mayor Karen Spiegel has earned another major endorsement in her campaign to succeed John Tavaglione on the Riverside County Board of Supervisors, this time from Riverside County Supervisor Chuck Washington. Supervisor Washington, who was appointed to the Board of Supervisors in 2015, won the 2016 election and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors.
“Mayor Karen Spiegel has a proven record of delivering results by prioritizing economic growth, public safety, and transportation,” said Supervisor Washington. “Karen is a wife, mother, and community leader who works tirelessly to provide a higher quality of life for all Riverside County residents. I’m honored to endorse Karen’s campaign, and I welcome the opportunity to work with her on the Board of Supervisors.”
“I am honored and humbled by the support and endorsement from Supervisor Washington,” said Spiegel. “Chuck Washinton has served the residents of District Three and the entire County with distinction since his arrival to the Board of Supervisors. Riverside County has benefited tremendously from his steady leadership as Chairman, and I look forward to working alongside Supervisor Washington on the Board of Supervisors.”
The current representative for Riverside County’s Second District, Supervisor John Tavaglione, announced that he will retire this year and has endorsed Spiegel as his successor. The Second District includes the cities of Corona, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, a portion of Riverside, and several unincorporated areas. The general election will take place on Tuesday, November 6th.
