Corona, CA – Corona Mayor Karen Spiegel has earned another major endorsement in her campaign to succeed John Tavaglione on the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. Jon Coupal, President of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association (HJTA) is the latest to join Spiegel’s growing list of supporters. HJTA is California’s largest taxpayers association, with over 200,000 members.
“Karen Spiegel will fight for taxpayers and protect the rights of homeowners. That’s why she has earned the endorsement of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association PAC for Riverside County Supervisor,” said Coupal.
“I am truly honored and humbled to earn the support and endorsement of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association,” said Spiegel. “Jon Coupal and the HJTA are dedicated to protecting property owner and taxpayers’ rights, and have been an invaluable watchdog by challenging laws that are disasters for everyday taxpayers.”
The current representative for Riverside County’s Second District, Supervisor John Tavaglione, announced that he will retire this year and has endorsed Spiegel as his successor. In addition to Supervisor Tavaglione and the HJTA, Spiegel has earned endorsements from Supervisor Chuck Washington, Supervisor Marion Ashley, the entire Jurupa Valley and Norco City Councils, and a majority of the Corona, Eastvale, and Riverside City Councils.
The second district encompasses the cities of Corona, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Norco, a portion of Riverside, and several unincorporated areas. The general election will take place on Tuesday, November 6th.
